FAQ — Love, Lies & Scandals

Because even romance, chaos, and ADHD deserve a little clarity.

1. What is Love, Lies & Scandals?

LL&S is a storytelling blog about love, relationships, ADHD, OCD, heartbreak, hope, humor, and the emotional plot twists that make life feel like a rom-com directed by Quentin Tarantino.
It’s part self-help, part journal, part comedy, part true love/true crime, and completely human.

2. Who writes this?

A late-in-life ADHD/OCD Cynical Romantic named Scott — your friendly narrator, overthinker, and occasional emotional crash-test dummy.

To read blogs on ADHD OCD and other health tips i use or find interesting click Do Better. Be Better.

3. What’s the purpose of the blog?

To help you laugh, reflect, feel seen, learn something, and maybe avoid repeating the mistakes I’ve already made (you’re welcome).

4. Is this a mental health blog?

Partially.
It’s more like:
mental health meets relationship storytelling meets humor meets “please don’t take this too seriously.”
I cite reliable sources, speak from lived experience, and keep things grounded in emotional truth — but I’m not a doctor.

5. What topics do you cover?

  • ADHD & OCD struggles

  • Relationship chaos

  • True Love True Crime

  • Humor-driven insights

  • Emotional growth

  • Books and tools that help (and some that just amuse)

  • Affiliate-friendly recommendations that I actually use

6. Why do you call yourself The Cynical Romantic?

Because I believe in love deeply…
but I’m also allergic to delusion.
It’s a lifestyle.

7. What’s the best place to start on the site?

Start with the Behind the Blog page or any story that makes you say,
“Yep… I’ve lived that.”

8. How often do new posts come out?

Once a week — unless ADHD wins the cage match.
(But I’m getting better. We have systems. Quill helps.)

9. Do you accept guest posts?

Not yet.
The voice of LL&S is deliberately personal and unified.
Maybe in the future — but the brand needs to grow first.

10. Are there affiliate links on this site?

Yes.
And every link helps fuel therapy co-pays, coffee habits, and late-night writing sessions.
